聽力測驗說稿

Part One: Spring Toad and Frog are friends. In the spring, Frog always played outside in the meadow with his friend, Toad. But this time, he found that Toad wasn’t really keen to go out with him. When he went to visit Toad in Toad’s house, Toad was sleeping in bed. He pulled Toad out of his bed. They both walked to the door and stood on the porch. Toad was still wearing his pajama. He was too sleepy to open his eyes, so he went back to sleep again. Frog was very sad about that. Suddenly, he had an idea to help Toad to wake up. He went to the wall inside the house and tore several pages from Toad’s calendar till it’s the month of May. Then, he showed Toad the calendar and shouted, “Hey Toad, winter has gone. Wake up from your hibernation. Let’s get out and have some fun.” Finally, Toad got out of his bed, walked out of his house and enjoyed the sunshine with his friend, Frog.

Part Two: Story Toad and Frog are friends. One day, Toad went to Frog’s house. He found that Frog was in bed. Frog didn’t feel well. Toad, as a friend of Frog, made a cup of hot tea for him. Toad wanted to make Frog feel better, so that he tried to tell Frog a story. He thought and thought but couldn’t think of a story to tell Frog. Then he did three things that he thought they would help him to think of a story to tell. First thing was that he stood on his head. But it didn’t help. Second thing was that he poured two glasses of water oh his head. But it didn’t help, either. Third thing was that he pumped his head very hard against the wall. And guess what! It still didn’t work. As a result, Toad has not only thought of no stories to tell, but also became dizzy. But to some point, he did help Frog because Frog’s getting better and better after those three silly things he had done!

Part Three: A Swim Toad and Frog are friends. Both of them like to swim and play together in the river. On a sunny day, they went swimming in the river at the back of the woods. When Toad is wearing his bathing suit, he asked Frog not to watch. He thought he would look funny in his bathing suit. Frog did as what Toad had said. But other animals in there didn’t follow the request. At first, there was a turtle, crawling on the rock to watch Toad to change his bathing suit. Then there came two dragonflies, hovering around above Toad. And then, there went on three lizards and a field mouse that stopped beside the turtle to watch Toad to change his bathing suit. Toad couldn’t change his bathing suit because except Frog, all those animals were waiting to make fun of Toad with his bathing suit. Anyway, Toad didn’t care about whether he looked funny or not any more. He went home in his bathing suit in the end.

Part Four: A Lost Button Toad and Frog are friends. They like to walk in the woods nearby their houses. One fine day when they walked in the woods, Toad found that he had lost a button. Frog, as a friend of Toad, said “I can find out your button for you.” He tried. And he found one button and handed it in to Toad. But Toad thought that was not his button because his button was rounder. Some animals in the woods were also trying to find out his button. They started to look for Toad’s button, too. After a while, a sparrow had found one and gave it to Toad. But it wasn’t Toad’s button because he said “My button is bigger!” Then, a raccoon ran to Toad with a red button in his mouth. But still, that wasn’t Toad’s button. “My button should be white and have two holes on it,” said he. They didn’t find Toad’s big, round, white and with two holes button. Toad felt so unhappy that he went home…
